Doors open at 11:30 a.m. daily at the Shiloh 14. For Laurel Movie Haus times and dates, call 628-4624. All times are p.m., unless otherwise noted.

Courageous (7): With funding through a Georgia church, the Rev. Alex Kendrick has written, directed and starred in a series of movies that aim to inculcate inspirational and moral values. His latest follows four police officers who all face crises as they attempt to juggle their jobs and families. PG13. Wynnsong 10 at 1:30, 4:30 and 7:30.

Dolphin Tale (8): This 3D family film is based on a true story about a dolphin that got caught in a crab trap and had to be given a prosthetic flipper. Ashley Judd, Harry Connick Jr. and Morgan Freeman star in a story that threads the line between heartwarming and sappy, with a subplot about veterans who also receive prosthetic limbs. PG. Shiloh 14 at 1:15 and 7.

Footloose (5): Didn’t the original version of this movie come out, like, two weeks ago? Well, no, it was 1984, and there’s still culture shock left in the Southern town of Bomont. Kenny Wormald takes the Kevin Bacon role as the young transplant challenging the status quo, and Dennis Quaid is the strict preacher trying to stop him. It’s a faithful remake, with updated music. PG13. Wynnsong 10 at 9:30. Shiloh 14 at 1, 4, 7 and 10.

Immortals (opening): From the producers of 300 comes another adventure set in ancient times. Mickey Rourke plays King Hyperion, who obliterates entire villages in his search for the Bow of Epirus. A stonemason, Theseus (Henry Cavill) rises against him. R. Wynnsong 10 at 1, 4, 7 and 9:40. Shiloh 14 at noon, 2:40, 5:20 and 8 and in Big D format at 1, 4, 7 and 10.

In Time (3): Justin Timberlake stars in this science fiction film about a world where the rich can literally buy enough time to live forever and the poor have to scrape by for enough minutes of life to get through the day. Cillian Murphy, Olivia Wilde and Amanda Seyfried also star. PG13. Shiloh 14 at 1:30, 4:25, 7:15 and 9:55.

J. Edgar (opening): Clint Eastwood directs Leonardo DiCaprio in this biopic about former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. Screenwriter Dustin Lance Black won an Oscar for Milk, and Naomi Watts, Judi Dench and Arnie Hammer get supporting roles. It’s an earnest look at a fascinating character, but some critics say it lacks cohesion. R. Shiloh 14 at 1:10, 4:20 and 7:30.

Jack and Jill (opening): Adam Sandler plays both a Los Angeles ad executive and his twin sister, who comes to visit for Thanksgiving. Apparently, they don’t get along too well. Katie Holmes also stars. PG. Wynnsong 10 at 1, 4:20, 7:20 and 9:45. Shiloh 14 at noon, 2:20, 4:40, 7 and 9:20. Also at Laurel Movie Haus.

Moneyball (7): This unlikely movie based on Michael Lewis’ best-selling book, Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game, stars Brad Pitt as Billy Beane, the Oakland A’s general manager who applied a variety of statistical methods to running his team and turned a low-paid ballclub into a contender. Philip Seymour Hoffman plays unhappy A’s manager Art Howe. PG13. Shiloh 14 at 4 and 9:50.

Paranormal Activity 3 (4): This series just keeps coming back for more creepy thrills with a prequel that pushes back to 1988 with a bunch of supposedly found footage. As before, the series delivers less with gore and bloodshed than with inexplicable noises and movement and dreaded anticipation, but some critics are saying that a trilogy is enough. R. Wynnsong 10 at 1, 4, 7:30 and 9:45. Shiloh 14 at 12:30, 2:45, 5, 7:15 and 9:30.

Puss in Boots (3): Antonio Banderas provides the voice for the title character in this animated origin story about a hero better known in fairly tales for his attire than his deeds. Here he breaks away from a supporting role in the Shrek series. Characters include Humpty Dumpty (Zach Galifianikis), Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek) and Jack and Jill (Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris). PG. Wynnsong 10 at 1:15, 1:30, 4, 4:25, 7:10 and 9:30. Shiloh 14 at 12:30, 12:45, 2:50, 3:05, 5:10, 5:25, 7:30 and 7:45. Also at Laurel Movie Haus.

Real Steel (6): Hugh Jackman plays a smalltime trainer in a future world of robot boxing. After the death of his wife, he and his son (Dakota Goyo) salvage an old robot into a contender – and into something almost human. Steven Spielberg produces. PG13. Wynnsong 10 at 1:45, 4:45 and 7:45, with no showing at 1:45 on Saturday or Sunday, and no showing at 4:45 on Tuesday. Shiloh 14 at 1, 4, 7 and 10.

Rum Diary (3): Johnny Depp stars in a movie based on an autobiographical novel by Hunter S. Thompson. Mr. Depp, who played Mr. Thompson in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, plays a heavy-drinking character who leaves New York to write for a failing newspaper in Puerto Rico, becomes obsessed with the fiancée (Amber Heard) of a corrupt entrepreneur (Aaron Eckhart) and has to choose between writing nice stories about the wealthy or trying to bring them down. R. Wynnsong 10 at 1:35, 4:45 and 7:45.

Thomas and Friends: Day of the Diesel (2): This is a Kidtoons feature about the famous train engine. G. Wynnsong 10 at 1 on Saturday and Sunday and at 4 on Tuesday.

The Three Musketeers (4): Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil) is behind this umpteenth retelling of Alexandre Dumas’ famous novel, this time in 3D. Logan Lerman plays the brash interloper D’Artagnan and Milla Jovovich is Milady Winter in this superfluous and sloppy but pleasant remake, which also includes airborne battles. PG13. Laurel Movie Haus.

Tower Heist (2): Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy and Matthew Broderick star in a comedy thriller about men who conspire to take revenge on a billionaire (Alan Alda) who has swindled them out of their retirement. Critics have found it slight but pleasant. PG13. Wynnsong 10 at 1:10, 4:15, 7:05 and 9:45. Shiloh 14 at 12:30, 1:30, 3:05, 4:05, 5:40, 7, 8:15 and 9:40.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (sneak preview): A showing of the latest episode in the popular teen vampire series is preceded by introductions of the cast members, interviews with the stars and film clips. PG13. Shiloh 14 at 7 on Tuesday only. In addition, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn shows at 7 on Tuesday at the Wynnsong 10.

Shiloh 14 at 12:30, 2:50, 5:10, 7:30 and 9:55.
