What’s a half-breed?

Here’s my nit-picking complaint of the week to you about that awful commentator, Roger Clawson, whom you feature in your publication.

What is a “half-breed,” which Roger claims Marie Patenaud was in your edition of 16 June? Why should Roger be allowed to refer to a human as a “half-breed?” That soubriquet is very distasteful. What was the woman? Half a human and half a horse? Half and half what?

Oh, yeah, that’s right; North American aborigines were just a bunch of “breeds.” Sort of like breeds of cows and dogs, right?

I don’t think so.

Sorry for this, but remain your inestimable fan. Not so much for Roger.
