Elmer Beyl, 77, of Billings, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at St. Vincent Healthcare.
He was born Dec. 26, 1933, the son of Theobald and Ella (Koehler) Beyl in Fairview. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1952 and enlisted in the Army in 1954 during the Korean War.
He was honorably discharged in 1956 and then graduated from the National College of Business in Rapid City, S.D. He married Virginia L. Falcon on Jan. 8, 1962, in Watford City, N.D., and they had three children.
Survivors include his wife; children, Del Beyl of Billings, Mike Beyl of Helena and Karen Beyl of Billings; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth Martin of Fairview and Lillian Elletson of Cartwright, N.D.
Services with military honors were held Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
