Norman E. Anderson, 86, of Billings, a retired teacher and school administrator, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011.
He was born on Nov. 24, 1924, in Hendricks, Minn., to Albert and Esther (Johnson) Anderson. He went to Hendricks High School and Augsberg College in Minneapolis.
He served in the Army during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge in 1952, he went to Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D., to get a master’s degree and teaching credentials. He married Arlyne Dockter on July 6, 1956, in Aberdeen, S.D.
Survivors include his wife, of Billings; sons, Terry of Billings and Greg of Whitefish; a sister, Ruth DeGroot of Deming, N.M.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services were held Oct. 29 at King of Glory Lutheran Church. Arrangements were by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
Memorials may be sent to King of Glory Church or the Shrine Hospitals for Children.
