Larry M. Chavez, 44, of Billings, a licensed phlebotomist, died suddenly on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011.

He was born on Nov. 17, 1966, in Albuquerque, N.M., the son of Jesse A. Chavez and Viola Filomena Saavedra. He graduated from Laurel High School in 1985. He put his career on hold to care for his mother until her death.

He enjoyed working on vehicles and was passionate in detailing them.

Survivors include his father, of Greenville, Texas; and a brother, Joe Chavez of Billings.

A viewing was held Nov. 5 at Cremation and Funeral Gallery. Services also were Nov. 5 there. Inurnment was planned in Albuquerque.
