This is a good start, but having a two-tiered system where this plant is treated as life-saving medicine for some but a 'dangerous narcotic' for others will never work. Medical freedom is a basic human right and lawmakers have no business playing God with this medicine. It is an herb which has been safely and effectively used as medicine for many thousands of years. Our laws need to reflect reality, not create more bureaucracy and hardship -- particularly for those who cannot afford to go through the ridiculous process of obtaining a state license...

It's interesting that at his late date the respective parties are beginning to do the math. 62% of the vote is a big chunck in our little bubble of state wide politics. Even the Repubs know this stinks. I actually got letters back from both Tester and Baucus last year denouncing any support for medical MJ. And then Denny Rehberg cast a vote to support rescheduling medical mj. Now everyone wants to play. I would like to support the dems but if Tester wants to win the Senate race he should get with his base. Baucus is just getting too much money from the Big Pharm and Med Insurance people. I would really like to see the dems come out for the people instead of the money.

They need to make it easier for patients to get their medical cannabis not harder and for more condition not restrict those who can get cannabis. Also if there are no places for patients to buy their medicine then its back to the old dealings in some back ally. Drug stores peddle all kinds of prescription medicines that cause all kinds of bad side effects but that is ok but not a safe plant, this is wrong.
