St. Vincent Healthcare’s Mobile Mammography Coach will collaborate with the MATE Show and Home and Health Expo once again to offer on-site mammograms to show attendees each day.
The annual event starts on Thursday, Feb. 16, and runs through Saturday, Feb. 18. The coach will be parked just outside the Montana Pavilion at MetraPark.
The Mammography Coach is a 40-foot-long, $500,000 screening lab on wheels that was commissioned in 2010 in order to increase cancer screening for women in rural communities, who are 20 percent less likely to get mammograms than those living in urban areas.
Women can make appointments by calling St. Vincent Yellowstone Breast Center at 237-4373 prior to Feb. 16. Insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid cards will be accepted and EVA mammograms will be available to the uninsured.
The Montana Agri-Trade Exposition (MATE Show) and the Home & Health Expo are owned by the Northern International Livestock Exposition (NILE). The MATE is held the third week of February and has a three day attendance of over 14,000 people.
The NILE is a non-profit organization established in 1967 that is dedicated to the promotion of livestock, agriculture education, and respect of the western tradition. For more information contact the NILE office at 406-256-2495 or visit www.thenile.org.
