Americorps recruiting

HELENA – Montana State Parks AmeriCorps’ (stateparks.mt.gov) is now recruiting for new AmeriCorps members to begin service in May.  AmeriCorps is a national service program where members can earn money for college, gain job skills and give back to local communities.

There are 17 positions available with members serving terms of either 12 weeks, from May to August, or 24 weeks from May to November.

AmeriCorps members can earn an Education Award of either $2,675 or $1,415 depending on their service term, to be used towards a college education or to pay off student loans. Members who are 55 years or older can transfer the Education Award to a child, grandchild or foster child. All Montana State Parks AmeriCorps members will receive a modest living allowance to help cover incidental costs, such as commuting.
