Agnes Genevieve Emard, 85, who had lived the last 1½ years at Eagle Cliff Manor Nursing Home, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012.
She was born Jan. 20, 1927, to Joseph and Mary (Krieger) Kramer in Fort Madison, Iowa. She graduated from Fort Madison High School in 1945.
She married Robert H. Emard Sr. on Sept. 5, 1945. They had two sons, Robert Jr. of Billings and Lonnie J. of Columbia, S.C.
While her children grew up, Mrs. Emard worked for “House for the Office” and the Fort Madison School District. She lived in Fort Madison until 1985, and then moved to Billings after her husband died. To be near children and grandchildren, she also moved to Tulsa in 1995 and then to Columbia in 2001. She returned to Billings in 2003.
She was the Tulsa Metro Patriots Fan of the Year in 1998.
She had received care from friends, Peggy Mueller, through the St. Bernard’s Parish Nurse Program, and Jo Ann Sowden. She also had received care from Eagle Cliff Manor and RiverStone Health Hospice.
Survivors include two sons; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at Cremation & Funeral Gallery. A service in Fort Madison will take place in July.
