Alma Peters, 87, who taught in one-room schools and ranched in the Miles City and Broadus areas, died March 16, 2012.
She was born Nov. 19, 1924, to Alma Lucinda Russell and Wesley Benjamin. She was raised in Center, N.D.
She married Raymond Peters and they taught school in one-room schools and ranched in the Miles City and Broadus areas. She spent her later years living between Miles City and Colstrip, visiting with people and writing songs.
Survivors include sons, Gordon and Gary; seven grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Services were pending. Arrangements are by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
