Albert “Zeke” Eschler, 70, a mail carrier for 30 years, died Friday, March 16, 2012, after battling interstitial lung disease.
He was born Nov. 13, 1941, to Roy and Mary Eschler. He graduated in 1960 from Powell High School, where he excelled in basketball and track.
On Dec. 1, 1963, he married Linda Heny in Powell, Wyo.
Mr. Eschler joined the Air Force in 1960 and served for eight years. He was stationed in Clovis, N.M.; Grand Forks, N.D.; and Tampa, Fla.; and he spent one year at Cam Rahn Bay during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years before retiring.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, Steve Eschler; sons, Eric Eschler and Aaron Eschler, both of Billings; a daughter, Michelle Eschler of Billings; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were March 24 at Cremation and Funeral Gallery.
