Mollie Moorman, 99, a longtime resident of Laurel, died Saturday, April 7, 2012.

As a young girl, she came on a cattle boat with her parents, George and Katherine Schreiner, from Kautz, Russia, where she was born on Oct. 1, 1912. She worked in beet fields to help her family.

She married Everett Moorman on Sept. 2, 1930. She attended First Baptist Church in Laurel and had received care from Tendernest and Rocky Mountain Hospice.

Survivors include a son, Wayne, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 12, at First Baptist Church in Laurel. Interment will follow in Laurel Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
