Dorothy D. Shinazy, 86, of Billings, who was retired from a warehouse market and Deaconess Billings Clinic, died Friday, April 27, 2012.

She was born Feb. 13, 1926, in Burley, Idaho, one of 13 children of Henry and Mabel Gabel.

She was a member of the Friendly Circle and an active member of Pilgrim Congregational Church.

Survivors include a son, Byron Shinazy; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons; sisters, Annabelle Schriener, Violet Eckhardt, Alvina Jansma and Margie Herman; and brothers, Buck Gabel, Gerald Gabel, Larry Gabel and Alvin Gabel.

Visitation was May 1 at Cremation & Funeral Gallery. Services were May 2 at Pilgrim Congregational Church. A potluck lunch was held in the fellowship hall at the church following the funeral. Interment was in Huntley Cemetery.
