Mary Mabel Donovan, 85, of Billings, a longtime nurse in Great Falls, died Friday, July 6, 2012.

She was born Oct. 31, 1926, to Carl and Nora Nommensen in Kalispell. She had a long career as a registered nurse in Great Falls and resided in Belt until retirement in 1991, when she moved to Billings.

She had traveled widely with her late husband, John Donovan. In Billings, she was a gardener and cared for her grandchildren.

Survivors include sons, Tim and Tracy; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

At her request, no services were planned. Arrangements were by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
