Jessie Ellen Bell, 89, of Billings, who served in the Canadian Navy during World War II, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012.

She was born in Radville, Saskatchewan, Canada, on Dec. 28, 1922, to Albert and Mary Clark. She had six siblings.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Harold Bell.

Survivors include daughters, Donna Hirt of Billings, Dee Kersey of Laughlin, Nev., Bobbi French of Billings and Jo Lorang of Great Falls; a brother, Ron Clark of Edmonton, Alberta; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

A celebration of life will be held next summer. Arrangements are by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
