Anita Ione Bahm, 94, who had owned Bahm’s Carpet Center with her husband, died Oct. 25, 2012, at Valley Nursing Home in Billings.
She was born Anita I. Halls in Ellsworth, Wis., on Nov. 11, 1917, to Helen and Victor Halls. After graduation from high school in 1935, she attended college in Wisconsin. In 1938, she moved to Buffalo, N.Y., where she married Robert H. Ford in 1942. She moved to Billings in 1961 with her children.
In 1968, she married Ernest E. Bahm, and they owned Bahm’s Carpet Center until retirement in 1997. Mrs. Bahm had been a resident of Valley Nursing Home since 2008. She had received care from Rocky Mountain Hospice.
Survivors include a brother, Milton Halls of Ellsworth, Wis.; children, Karen Ford of Shoreline, Wash., Ian Ford of Great Falls, David Ford of Billings, Hugh Ford of Billings, Ragnhild Adams, of Kalama, Wash., Fraser Ford of Federal Way, Wash.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private, family-only memorial service was planned. Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
