Barbara (Zilz) Smith, 70, of Billings, who taught school in Glendive and Billings, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012.

She was born Feb. 23, 1942, in Billings to Arthur and Laura Zilz. She graduated from Senior High School, where she was a cheerleader. She graduated from Eastern Montana College with a degree in education.

She married Calvin Smith in Billings on Dec. 16, 1967. They lived in Bozeman before moving to Billings.

Survivors include her husband; sons, Jeremy and Mike; two grandchildren; and a brother, Ernie.

Services will be at First Alliance Church at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1. Arrangements are by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
