Loretta May Johannes, 96, of Billings, who had worked as a waitress and as a teacher’s helper, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at RiverStone Horizon Hospice House.
She was born Dec. 15, 1915, in Garland, Wyo., to Henry and Laura Meyers. She had seven siblings. On Oct. 30, 1936, she married John H. Johannes in Cody, Wyo.
Mr. and Mrs. Johannes lived in Wyoming for most of their marriage. In 1955 they moved to Billings, where she worked as a waitress and as a home economics teacher’s helper at Lewis and Clark Junior High School.
Survivors include a sister, Ethel Heimer of Powell, Wyo.; a daughter, Sharon Vogel of Billings; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
