Joclyn Henrietta Lunde, 91, who had worked in women’s apparel, died Nov. 22, 2012.
She was born May 19, 1921, in Beckingham, Kent, England, to Charles and Florence Hawes. As a teenager she was apprenticed to the women’s dress trade, but when World War II came to England she worked in an arms munitions factory.
She married Lloyd B. Lunde, an American GI, in England in February 1945. In May 1945 she emigrated to Billings where she worked in several department stores in women’s apparel until about 1978. Mr. Lunde died in 1985.
Survivors include a sister, Freda Ridgwell of Halesworth, Suffolk, England; a son, Charles A. Lunde of Missoula; two daughters, Jocelyn Gilbert of Carlsbad, Calif., and Antoinette Deines of Laurel; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Nov. 26 and services were Nov. 27 at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Interment followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
