June Bato, 73, who had celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary this year, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, of liver disease.
She was born Sept. 4, 1939, to Bill and Leota Donnelly in Casper, Wyo. She was raised in Sheridan, Wyo., attended high school in Pinedale, Wyo., and Sheridan and graduated from Buffalo High School in 1957.
She worked for Beneficial Finance in Billings and California, then returned to Billings and worked as secretary for the Billings Fire Department.
She married Joe Bato in Billings in May 1962. She was Wyoming state secretary for Women’s Aglow Ministry and graduated from the University of Wyoming at the age of 50.
Mr. and Mrs. Bato moved back to Billings in 1974. She worked as a medical transcriptionist and served as Care Team Coordinator for Atonement Lutheran Church. She was a prayer coordinator for LaVie Pregnancy Center.
Survivors include her husband; children, Steve Bato and Susan Hill; three granddaughters; brothers, John and Howard Donnelly; and a sister, Mary Jo McIntyre.
Services were Dec. 5 at Atonement Lutheran Church. Arrangements were by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
