Leif C. Havig, 88, of Billings, who ministered to children and those in pain, died Dec. 7, 2012, at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings.
He was born Jan. 10, 1924, to Andrew and Louise (Dohlen) Havig in Rolette, N.D. He attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis, Minn., and married Carol Beck on Sept. 25, 1954, in Racine, Wis.
He farmed and owned the Bible, Book & Gift Store in Rolette. The family moved to Billings in 1987.
In 2001, he was ordained by the Resurrection Apostolic International Network.
Survivors include his wife; sisters, June Ellingson of Mesa, Ariz., and Loretta Tiegen of Olympia, Wash.; children, Susan Havener of Billings, Mark Havig of Minot, N.D., and Jeffrey Havig of Fairbanks, Alaska; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at Cremation & Funeral Gallery. Services will be next summer in Rolette. Arrangements are by Cremation and Funeral Gallery.
