Lloyd Edmund Odermann, 82, who was involved in church activities, died Dec. 27, 2012, at St. John’s Lutheran Ministries in Billings.
He was born April 2, 1930, in Elbow Woods, N.D., the son of Henry “Hank” and Regina (Landwehr) Odermann.
He graduated from Elbow Woods High School and married Katherine Lesmeister on June 16, 1952, in Halliday, N.D.
He was raised farming and ranching, worked the oil fields on the North Slope of Alaska, and he was a Salt Creek Freight dockhand and truck driver.
He was a longtime member of Knights of Columbus, Eucharistic minister to homebound people, and sang in the church choir. He was a scoutmaster when living in North Dakota.
Survivors include daughters, Barbara Winslow, Karyn Wynslow, Claire Medlicott, Deborah Wiesner and Brenda Hatcher; sons, David Odermann, Richard Odermann, Frank Odermann and Alan Odermann; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Teresa Weinand, Phyllis Odermann, Joan Odermann and Cecile Volesky; and a brother, Harold Odermann.
Vigil Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 5 at St. Pius X Catholic Church with interment of ashes in Calvary Cemetery.
