Dean Frank, 76, who taught math and sold insurance, died on the late afternoon of Dec. 25, 2012.
He was born on a farm near Laurel to Alex and Lydia Frank on July 29, 1936. He was the middle of three boys.
He graduated from Senior High School in 1955. He completed an undergraduate degree at Eastern Montana College and earned a master’s degree in mathematics at Southeastern State in Durante, Okla. He taught math for 22 years in the Billings School District and was an insurance agent with Farmers Insurance for more than 30 years.
He was a member of Kiwanis.
Survivors include his wife, LaVerne, of 53 years; four sons, Scott of Fort Collins, Colo., Troy of Indianapolis, Ind., Daron of Billings and Joshua of Long Beach, Calif.; and two brothers.
Services were held Dec. 29 at the Masonic Center. Arrangements were by Cremation & Funeral Gallery. The family will gather this summer for a hike in the Beartooths to spread his ashes.
