Charles Edward Parnell, 65, a disabled veteran, died Dec. 23, 2012, in Billings.
He was born Jan. 16, 1947, in Arizona, the third of three sons to Robert Parnell Sr. and Madeline Grass Parnell. He graduated from Billings Central Catholic High School in 1965 and from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash., with a bachelor’s degree in pre med and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army in 1970. He was stationed at Fort Dix, N.J., before being honorably discharged as a first lieutenant.
He lived in Billings as a disabled veteran his remaining years. He took several graduate level courses at Eastern Montana College.
He had lived at Parkview Care Center in Billings the last two years.
Survivors include two brothers, William and Robert Jr.
Arrangements for a graveside memorial service were being made by Dahl Funeral Chapel.
