Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Tucker, 83, who had lived in Billings for more than 80 years, died Jan. 11, 2013, at Sweetwater Assisted Living in Billings, where she had lived for 12 months.
She was born in August 1929 to John and Linda Hoodless in Butte. She graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1947. She married Ray on June 16, 1950, and they built a home on Wicks Lane.
She had been associated with Ray Tucker and Sons Construction, the Yellowstone Art Center, Northwest Scientific and Raffia. She worked at Raffia for 17 years before retiring in 2011.
Mr. and Mrs. Tucker were active in First Christian Church for years, especially with the youth group. Later they became members of First Presbyterian Church, and she was involved in the Church Session. They were active in the Elks Club for many years.
She had received care from Rocky Mountain Hospice.
Survivors include children, Steve of Billings, Mark of Red Lodge, Bridgett Steigmeier of Boise, Idaho, Scott Tucker of Red Lodge and Pam Tucker of Boise, Idaho; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Elks Club, 934 Lewis Ave. Arrangements are by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
Memorials may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Billings or Red Lodge.
