William Henry Kelly, 71, of Billings, who started Kelly’s Flooring and had been director of the Crow Tribal Employment Rights office, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Valley Health Care.
He was born Oct. 24, 1941, in Crow Agency to James Kelly and Julia White Kelly. He married Patricia Cloud; they later divorced.
He served in the armed forces during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He worked for Rich’s flooring before starting Kelly’s Flooring.
He was an avid outdoorsman who hunted, fished, hiked, collected arrowheads and rocks and picked mushrooms, asparagus and berries.
Survivors include children, Julia Kelly of Billings, William Jr. of Billings, James of Los Angeles, Colleen Bunnell of Billings and Robert of Billings; siblings, Donna Catella, Patsy Cowee, Dolly Morrison and Robert Kelly, all of Billings, Charles Kelly of Denver, Larry Kelly of Crow Agency, and Colleen Winter of Iowa; 19 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 12 at First Alliance Church in Billings. Arrangements were by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
