Dorothy Mae DeBorde Mullette, 92, who had worked in finance and accounting before moving to Billings, died Sunday evening, Jan. 27, 2013, at Billings Clinic Hospital.
She was born May 6, 1920, in Helena, the first of four children born to Earl and Katherine DeBorde. She graduated from Helena High School in 1938. While working as a bookkeeper for Safeway Stores in Butte, she met William Mullette, and they were married on April 24, 1943, in Butte.
Following a variety of jobs in finance and accounting, she completed her career as insurance benefits manager for Campbell Soup Co. in Carmichael, Calif.
Following retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Mullette moved to Bellevue, Wash., to be near family. Last year she gave up driving and living in her own home and moved to Billings to be near her children, Diane and Larry.
Survivors include a brother, Don DeBorde; children, Diane Mullette of Billings, Bill Mullette-Bauer of Portland, Ore., and Larry Mullette of Billings; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Billings. An additional service will be held later in Redmond, Wash. Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
