Maria Wyrzykowski, 88, of Billings, who had been a custodian at Eastern Montana College, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013.
She was born in a small village outside of Warsaw, Poland, on Nov. 18, 1924. She and her husband, Jan, worked to make their way across Europe and saved to buy passage to America.
After her children were old enough, she worked at Eastern Montana College for 15 years. After she retired, she helped with Meals on Wheels for five years.
Survivors include sons, Jerry and John of Billings; a daughter, Theresa Stoltz of Denver; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at St. Thomas Parish, 2055 Woody Drive. Arrangements are by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
