Nicholas Schaff, 81, a farmer and rancher and also a barber, died at High Gate Senior Living in Billings on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013.
He was born March 20, 1931, in Belmont, the son of Michael and Audenia (Weisgerber) Schaff. He graduated from Lavina High School in 1950.
He farmed and ranched in the Lavina area and was a barber. In 1969, he married Grace Feeler.
Survivors include his wife; children, Marsha Sillivan of Ryegate and Jolene Schaff of Billings; stepdaughters, Darlene Pavlak of Lewistown and Sherry Harden of Billings; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; 18 stepgreat-great-grandchildren; a brother, Ned Schaff of Lavina; and a sister, Eugenia Lawrence of Payson, Ariz.
Vigil services were Feb. 1 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass was Feb. 2 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Rite of Committal in Lavina Cemetery. Arrangements were in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel.
