Galen King, 70, of Billings, a real estate broker for more than 30 years, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at his home.
Born in Billings on June 16, 1942, he was one of two children of Roland and Helen King. He grew up in Billings, graduating from Billings Senior High School in 1961. He entered the Marine Corps in 1962 and served as a lineman until his honorable discharge in 1964. He worked as a draftsman in Alaska before returning to Billings, where he was a real estate broker. After retiring, he worked as the website manager for Denny Menholt Chevrolet.
In 1997, he married Pat Malvey Rookhuizen.
Survivors include his wife; a sister, Linda Menholt; stepchildren, Annie Slunaker and Joe Rookhuizen; five grandchildren; and children from previous marriages, Wendy, Matthew, Carrie and Warren.
The family greeted friends on March 29 at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Services were March 30 at King of Glory Lutheran Church, with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
