Ruth Kathryn Cutler, 97, who had been a systems analyst for UNIVAC, died July 10, 2013, at Aspen Meadows in Billings.
She was born Dec. 28, 1915. After graduating from college and after losing her fiancé to World War II, she found her way to the East Village in New York City. From there she worked her way up to a systems analyst for UNIVAC, traveling the country by train programming computers.
Later she married Bob Cutler and was active in her community of Palos Verdes, Calif. She moved to Montana after her husband’s death to be near her brother and his wife, Jack and Heino Lackey and their family in Bozeman.
Survivors include nephews and nieces.
Burial was in Red Lodge cemetery. Arrangements were in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel.
