Joan Mae Repac, 87, who had been a waitress for 35 years at the Northern Hotel, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013.
She was born to Ida and Harry Albright on Aug. 1, 1926, in Glendive. She was married to Pete Repac.
She started waitressing as a teenager and continued that career throughout her life. She worked at the Elmo Club during the Big Band Era and met politicians, movie stars and oil barons at the Northern Hotel.
A bargain hunter, she made many of the uniforms for the Northern Hotel Lounge and sewed clothing for her daughters. She altered gowns for many Miss Montana contestants.
She had received care from Grand Park Vintage Suites, Parkview Care Center and RiverStone Health and Hospice.
Survivors include four children, Joan A. Crum, Arna M. Day, Loren G. Bice and William Greg Bice; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her husband.
No services were planned. Arrangements were by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
