Bernard Ellsworth Barr, 73, who had worked more than 20 years in the commercial roofing business, died at RiverStone Hospice on Jan. 2, 2014, after suffering from Parkinson’s disease for many years.
He was born Oct. 5, 1940, the youngest child of Russell and Ora (Shaffer) Barr. He graduated from Laurel High School and was a member of the Laurelaires. He attended the University of Montana and received a bachelor of arts degree from Rocky Mountain College.
He married Sharon Florey on May 25, 1963. They raised their children in Great Falls before returning to Billings in 1981.
Mr. Barr worked for Western Allied in Denver, Colo., in the commercial roofing business until retiring in 2008. He was active in running, handball, racquetball, squash and golf.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Cindy Ciciora of Spring Lake, N.C.; a son, Kent; two grandsons; and sisters, Trevie Livingston of La Vern, Calif., and Bonnie Latham of Laurel.
