Floyd Wilbert Podoll, 84, who was retired from the Montana Board of Oil and Gas Conservation, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014.
He was born Oct. 21, 1929, to Arthur and Lena Podoll in Judd, N.D. On March 25, 1950, he married Dorothy Mae Shumock in Red Lodge.
During his engineering career he was employed by Schlumberger Petroleum for 22 years. He had worked 12 years with the Board of Oil & Gas Conservation.
In golf, he had scored two holes in one in his lifetime.
Survivors include children, Pam Segale of Meridian, Idaho, Rod Podoll of Cut Bank, Brenda Wipplinger of Polson and Audrey Hartford of Rock Springs, Wyo.; siblings, Arlene Ewalt of Casper, Wyo., Verna McCaffry of Gravette, Ark., Delbert Fetzer of Powell, Wyo., and Sharon Christenson of Powell, Wyo.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Feb. 26 at Cremation & Funeral Gallery. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
