Quentin Roosevelt Newton, 94, of Joliet, who spent his life farming and caring for the family homestead, died Saturday, March 29, 2014.
He was born on the family farm near Edgar on Nov. 23, 1919, to Rolla Leroy (Roy) and Daisy Edna (Wight) Newton. He was educated in Edgar.
On Dec. 4, 1954, he married Ida Junkert Neuhardt, and they lived on the family farm south of Rockvale.
Survivors include children, Cindy Graber and Dennis Newton of Joliet and Sol Neuhardt of Billings; and six grandchildren.
Visitation was April 1 at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Billings and at Joliet Wesleyan Church. Services were April 2 at the Joliet Wesleyan Church. Interment was in Rockvale Cemetery. Arrangements were in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel.
Memorials may be made to the Joliet Wesleyan Church, Gideons International, or the Edgar or Joliet volunteer fire departments.
