With a sad heart, but with happy memories, this is to inform you that our buddy, Bill “Moe” Morrison, died Friday, April 4, 2014, from respiratory complications at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings.
Moe was in hospice care and passed peacefully, and in no pain, surrounded by many friends.
A world traveler, with residences in Alaska, Isle of Corfu, Greece, and Montana, Billy enjoyed racing cars in Billings, captaining his sailboat in Alaska and assisting in operating a villa resort in Corfu. An accomplished cook, Moe delighted family and friends with varied culinary treats while spreading the Gospel of the Perfect Caesar Salad and the sublime, copper-mugged “Moscow Mule.” He always wheeled terrific vehicles over the years, ranging from an MG Roadster with roll bar, English Land Rover, a 1950s Jeep truck with Conestoga canvas covering, top of the line Cadillac and dual rear-wheeled Chevy truck with a fully equipped camper.
One of Billy’s loves was possessing the perfect sound machine/stereo wherever he lived and playing all kinds of music all of the time! Music was in the air when you hung with William!
Known as a jock at Shattuck School in Faribault, Minnesota, Moe held records for the shot put and discus and starred on the basketball and tennis teams. He proudly served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam era. After Vietnam, Moe returned to Billings and graduated from Rocky Mountain College. Bill had retired from a long career as a telecommunications consultant and was living in the Red Lodge/Joliet area of Montana.
