Marjorie Ann (Kenck) Engleking, 90, who had been a teacher in Billings, died May 1, 2014, in Vancouver, Wash.
She was born Sept. 14, 1923, in Butte to Hugo and Maude Kenck, and grew up in Los Angeles. She married Don Engleking on Jan. 2, 1943, and they made their home in Butte, where she worked as a legal secretary.
After raising two children, they moved to Billings, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Eastern Montana College in 1970. She was a special education teacher, retiring in 1985 from Rose Park Elementary School.
She was an active member of the St Patrick’s parish in Billings, volunteering there, at ZooMontana and in other organizations.
Survivors include a son, Jon Engleking of Vancouver; a daughter, Jan Ames of Heyburn, Idaho; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jack Kenck of Vancouver.
A memorial Mass and graveside service will be held in Billings. Arrangements are in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel.
