ROUNDUP – At 4:06 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, the Musselshell County Sheriff received a call from Mr. Robert Coksey of 60 Big Buck Trail. Coksey informed deputies that he had shot a man and needed an ambulance, Sheriff Woodrow Weitzeil said today.

Musselshell County Sheriff deputies and ambulance were then dispatched to the scene, 12 miles southeast of Roundup. Upon their arrival, the deputies found a deceased adult male. At that same time, they detained Coksey for questioning. The Musselshell County Sheriff's Office requested the assistance of the Montana Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation. DCI agents arrived on the scene early evening Tuesday and have been conducting the investigation into the shooting.
