Randolph J. VanAntwerp

Randolph J. VanAntwerp, 83, who was retired from the St. Vincent Healthcare laundry, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009.

He was born in Crookston, Minn., on March 19, 1926, the son of John Randolph and Eva Barrette VanAntwerp.

He spent his early years on his sister’s farm in Gladstone, N.D., before moving to Helena in 1946 to live with his mother. He worked at various jobs in Helena before settling in Billings in 1956. He retired from the St. Vincent laundry in 1991. He moved into Billings Health and Rehabilitation Center in 2003.

Survivors include two brothers, Wallace VanAntwerp of Thermopolis, Wyo., and Robert McEvers of Barneston, Neb.; and two sisters, June Reich of Preston, Wash., and Betty Sharp of Helena.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at Billings Health and Rehabilitation Center. Inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery will be held later. Arrangements are by Cremation and Funeral Gallery.

Memorials may be made to the Billings Health & Rehabilitation Center or the Salvation Army.
