Waynor Michie Ferguson

Waynor “Wayne” Michie Ferguson, 86, who started his own appliance and electronics business, died Oct. 13, 2009, of cancer.
He was born to Oma and Turner Summerfield Ferguson on Jan. 1, 1923, in Carrollton, Miss. He was in the Army during World War II, serving with the 385th Bomber Group.
After the war, he married Josephine “Jo” Oset of Roundup. He worked in the coal mines in Roundup for a few years before starting his own appliance and electronics business.
After retiring, Mr. and Mrs. Ferguson moved to Billings in 1983 and became members of East Gate Wesleyan Church. He was a member of American Legion Post 4 for many years. He had received care from Rocky Mountain Hospice.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Frank; a daughter, Kathleen Bobinski; three grandchildren; two brothers, Lowell and James; and two sisters, Rose Fox and Sunny Branner.
Services were held Oct. 16 at East Gate Wesleyan Church in Billings. Interment with military honors was in Mountview Cemetery. Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary had charge of arrangements.
