Rose Huck

Rose Huck, 75, who is survived by 13 children, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009.
She was born Nov. 8, 1933, in Belfield, N.D., the daughter of Peter and Catherine (Reichert) Decker. On May 18, 1953, she married Ludwig Huck in Gaylord, N.D. They lived in Fairbanks, Alaska, before moving to Ballantine, where they lived for 48 years. She was a custodian at Huntley Project School, and also worked as a waitress.
She was a member of St. Pius of Verein in Sheffield and of St. Cyril and Methodius Church in Ballantine. She was also active in the Senior Citizens of Worden.
Survivors include 13 children, Steve Huck, Kathy Attebury, Keith Huck, Alan Huck, Lucinda Olson, Wayne Huck, Arvin Huck, Ron Huck, Terry Huck, Mathew Huck, Patrick Huck, Sandra Kust and Brian Huck; 26 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Tom Decker, Richard Decker, Alice Klein, Peter Decker, Eugene Decker, Dennis Decker, Patti Gruber, Marlin Lynch, Doug Lynch, Bill Lynch and Greg Lynch.
Visitation was Oct. 27-28, with a gathering of friends and family on Oct. 28 at Dahl Chapel. Vigil Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, and Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 30, both at St. Cyril & Methodius Church in Ballantine. Committal will be in Pleasantview Cemetery in Ballantine.
