We will print the truth as factually and as accurately as we know how. Errors will be corrected promptly.

We will sell advertising at a reasonable price. We will not sell news space at any price.

Opinions of this newspaper will be clearly labeled. Other opinions are those of the authors.

Our goal is to make money so we can put out a newspaper, not the other way around.

Helicopter ride a thrill
by

Thanks to the generosity of Northern Skies Aviation, Willson Transportation LLC and Kelsey Milliron, Marcia Wilson had one of the most wonderful days of her 83 years of life.

Mrs. Wilson, a resident of Marquis Vintage Suites Assisted Living, had always wanted to fly in a helicopter. Her late husband was an airplane mechanic as well as a pilot and the couple flew extensively; however, their travels were limited to fixed-wing aircraft.

After a morning of pampering in the Vintage Suites salon by Kelsey, Mrs. Wilson was transported by limousine to the Laurel Airport with family and friends in tow. She was lifted into a two-passenger helicopter, buckled up and fitted with headphones. A crowd gathered on the tarmac with posters of cheer and encouragement.

The blades whirling, the motor revving, Mrs. Wilson and Brandon Hansen, her pilot, eased off the ground straight up, and then they were gone.

After a ride over the Yellowstone River Valley, the helicopter came back into view.

The pilot presented a Northern Skies Aviation cap to her (a well as a kiss). In the limo on the return trip to Billings, she said, “This is the best day of my life!”
